Self-Love Yoga Retreat in Magical Peru

Join us for the experience of a lifetime on this 10-day excursion to the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu in mystical Peru. Yoga, meditation, ancient traditional ceremonies, archeological visits, hiking, waterfalls, and community is sure to be just what you need.

We will be staying at the Pachamami Wasi Retreat Center (as seen in National Geographic top six places to do yoga!) This retreat center will truly feel like home during our stay. Themed rooms from around the world vary in size – triple, double or single. The grounds are perfect for walking meditation, or just to relax while looking out at the mountains. Our yoga classes will be held in a round Meditation Hall with a 360-degree view of the Andes Mountains.

All meals are organic vegetarian while at the center, with the exception of eggs at breakfast. Locally sourced, farm-to-table food is an understatement – our meals will be freshly picked that morning in the gardens and nearby farms; including quinoa separated and cleaned before our eyes. All meals are included while at Pachamama Wasi. Several lunches and two dinners will be in restaurants and not included in the overall price.

April 19 – Arrival in Cusco, lunch together, and travel by van to Pachamama Wasi in the Urubamba Valley, also known as the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

April 20 – Our day will start with a grounding and restorative yoga session to honor our bodies after the long journey to Peru and to arrive, fully present in our shared experience. After yoga and breakfast, our tour conductor, Mallku Malasquez, will take us on a hike in Yanahuara.

April 21 – An energizing slow-flow yoga class, breakfast and then a drive through the valley to reach the village of Pisac.  We return to Pachamama Wasi for an early dinner followed by a sound healing ceremony.

April 22 – Self-care day spent at the Center. Evening sweat lodge.

April 23 – Seminario Ceramic Workshop, Salineras Salt Fields, village of Ollantaytambo.

April 24 – Machu Picchu! Staying in Aguas Calientes.

April 25 – On this day we will be visiting Huayana Picchu, the Moon Temple. Staying in Aguas Calientes. (Note: If registering after January 11, we cannot guarantee tickets to Huayana Picchu. If we are unable to secure tickets, you will have the option of a second day at Machu Picchu)

April 26 – Picnic lunch and hike to the Mandor Waterfall. We will to  Pachamama Wasi.

April 27 – Self-care day! Coca leaf reading is an ancient tradition that can give you insight to your past, present or future.

April 28 – Closing circle. We will return to Cusco around noontime. This will be the end of our journey together.

Sarah Kelly, owner of Sarah Kelly Coaching, is a National Board Certified Health & Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC). She trained as an Integrative Health Coach at Duke Integrative Medicine. She holds a Master of Arts in International Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with a concentration in Community Mental Health. Sarah specializes in working with individuals in the recovery community, military community, trauma survivors and anyone in transitional times. She is an expert in holding space for people to go inward and truly know their worth. Before entering the coaching field, Sarah worked over a decade in the field of communications and public affairs. She has worked in the nonprofit, government, international and private sectors. Most of her focus over the decade was in women rights advocacy and military health. Her passion to help others has always been the forefront of her career choices.

Sarah Wilkinson, owner of Breathe & Release, is a yoga teacher and energy healer. She has taught yoga across the US, including at Kripalu and Omega. Her slow-flow yoga focuses on empowering students with the skills needed to heal themselves and become stronger in body, mind, and spirit. A typical class will incorporate full-body movement creating a union of strength, balance, and flexibility. She loves teaching mixed-level classes that meet each student where they are: a yogini with a kicking scorpion or a first-time student who’s a bit nervous about stepping onto the mat. Sarah has been practicing yoga for 25 years, and received her first teacher certification in 2010 from Rishikesh Yog Peeth, in India, the birthplace of yoga. As a master reiki practioner, her energy healing sessions are very individualized, based on each person’s needs, and will include a combination of reiki and other intuitive energy work, such as chakra and meridian cleansing.
